Our club was pleased to be joined today by Théo Heijmans; our club’s exchange student from Brussels Belgium. Théo shared with us a little about his life and family back home in Belgium and also about his experiences here in Canada. He has adapted well to life in Portage la Prairie and has embraced all opportunities that have come his way. A highlight being a trip to Churchill with other exchange students from our District. He is very much looking forward to hitting the soccer pitch once the snow melts. Thank you for joining us Théo, we are so glad you’re here. Host families are integral to the exchange program and we are very thankful for these families opening their homes and hearts to Théo and others before him.
