Our evening meeting this month was held at The Salvation Army.
Major Brenda Hammond gave us a tour and overview of the important work they do in our community, most notably, the food bank. The food bank can always use donations of both non perishable food and also fresh produce or other fresh foods like bread or milk. Cash donations are also gratefully received either directly at the Salvation Army or by way of the Christmas Kettle campaign, going on now. She noted that they could still use some more volunteers on hamper distribution days (December 18 & 20) . Please call ahead if you can help out at 204-857-7213. Thank you for having us.
