Today we heard from our inbound exchange student Mykola from Ukraine!
Mykola (Nick) has been here now for about a month and gave us a presentation on where he is from in the Ukraine. Our unseasonably warm weather is a nice change for him as he says it would be much colder back home right now. One thing he notices as a huge difference between here and there is public transportation. Not just in Portage, but in Manitoba as a whole. He can take a train to Kiev overnight for about 6 hours and costs only roughly $10 Canadian dollars. Thanks for letting us get to know you better Nick, great presentation today! Pictured here with Nick is our Club President Sherrie Palmer receiving the Rotary flag from Nicks hometown that helped send him here.
